Position Overview
As the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing a small cashiering team, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions while adhering to SRA Accounts Rules, as well as directly managing two cashiers. This hands-on role involves supervision, problem-solving, and actively enhancing internal controls and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and assist with daily financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Handle billing and invoicing processes
- Generate financial reports for management and regulatory purposes
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts
- Provide insights into financial performance and trends
- Implement and enforce financial policies to ensure compliance
- Manage residual client balances
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a legal firm
- Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
