Position Overview
As a Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal services to a diverse range of clients in the area of contentious probate. You will manage a complex caseload, mentor junior team members, and support the head of department and partners in delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a complex litigation caseload with limited supervision
- Provide high-quality legal advice and manage client relationships effectively
- Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
- Act for both claimants and defendants, from initial instructions to dispute resolution
- Advise clients on funding options, procedure, and alternative dispute resolution processes
- Liaise with appropriate experts and counsel and undertake advocacy at interlocutory stages
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge bank and stay updated with developments in litigation law
Requirements
- 2 years PQE in litigation
- Strong understanding of litigation law and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a complex caseload with limited supervision
- Experience in mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience in advocacy and liaising with experts and counsel
