As part of our client's growth plan who are seeking a Residential Property Paralegal to join its respected property department, this role will provide exposure to a diverse range of conveyancing matters and a genuine opportunity to develop your expertise within this sector.
Position Overview
As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting the firm's experienced lawyers with complex conveyancing cases. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, proactive legal advice that meets clients' needs and upholds the firm's commitment to exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Assist fee earners in managing a varied caseload
- Provide clients with legal advice under appropriate supervision
- Manage files and draft contracts, check titles, and prepare initial reports to clients
- Apply for and report on local searches, chancel, environmental, plans, drainage, and index map searches
- Undertake and confirm exchange of contracts and advise parties on post-exchange matters
- Prepare completion statements, stamp duty land tax returns, and Land Registry applications
Requirements
- Experience in conveyancing matters
- Strong customer focus and enthusiasm to exceed expectations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
